Seizure

A seizure is a sudden, uncontrolled electrical disturbance in the brain that temporarily affects how it functions. This can cause a variety of symptoms, such as uncoordinated movements, strange sensations, or a temporary loss of awareness. Seizures can happen for many reasons, including neurological conditions, brain injury, or illness, and they vary in severity and duration. While some seizures are harmless and short-lived, others may require medical attention. It’s important to seek emergency help if someone has a seizure that lasts more than a few minutes, has multiple seizures in a row, or if it's their first seizure.
