SEIR Model (Susceptible-Exposed-Infectious-Recovered Model)
The SEIR model is a way to understand how infectious diseases spread. It divides a population into four groups: susceptible (who can catch the disease), exposed (who have been infected but aren't infectious yet), infectious (who can spread the disease), and recovered (who have gained immunity or are no longer infectious). The model tracks how people move between these groups over time, helping predict the course of an outbreak, assess control measures, and inform public health strategies. It provides a structured way to analyze disease dynamics and the impact of interventions.
