Seed Cotton
Seed cotton is the raw cotton fiber along with the seeds that are harvested from cotton plants. It’s the initial material before processing, containing both the fibers used to make textiles and the seeds that can be used to grow new plants or produce cottonseed oil. During harvesting, the seed cotton is collected and then cleaned to separate the soft cotton fibers from the harder seeds. This fiber is subsequently spun into thread or yarn, while the seeds are processed for oil or planting. In essence, seed cotton combines the essential raw materials for cotton products and future crops.
