Sediment Delivery Ratio

The Sediment Delivery Ratio (SDR) is a measure of how much sediment (soil and particles) moving through a watershed or river system actually reaches the final destination, such as an ocean or lake. It compares the amount of sediment produced or eroded upstream to the amount that is ultimately transported downstream. SDR values range from 0 to 1; a higher ratio indicates more sediment reaching the waterbody, while a lower ratio suggests significant sediment is deposited or stored along the way. This helps in understanding erosion impacts and managing soil and water resources effectively.
