Secutor

A secutor was a type of Roman gladiator specialized for combat in the arena. Typically armed with a helmet, shield, and sword, secutores fought against opponents like the retiarius, who used a net and trident. Designed to be heavily armored to face quicker or more lightly armed fighters, secutores provided thrilling spectacles for Roman audiences by showcasing skill and bravery.
