Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America
The Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America (SPP) was a collaborative effort launched in 2005 by Canada, Mexico, and the United States. Its goal was to enhance security, economic growth, and environmental sustainability across North America by coordinating policies and sharing information. The partnership aimed to improve border security, promote trade, and address common challenges like health and energy. Although it was not a formal treaty, it fostered government cooperation. The SPP gradually phased out around 2009, replaced by more specific initiatives, but it symbolized a collective effort to strengthen regional stability and prosperity.
