Secure Border Initiative (SBI)

The Secure Border Initiative (SBI) was a U.S. government effort launched in the mid-2000s to improve the security of the southern border with Mexico. Its goal was to reduce illegal crossings by deploying physical barriers, surveillance technology, and additional personnel.
