Section 341 Meeting
A Section 341 Meeting, often called a “creditor’s meeting,” is a required part of bankruptcy proceedings. It gives creditors and the bankruptcy trustee an opportunity to ask the debtor questions about their financial situation, debts, and filings. Typically held about a month after filing for bankruptcy, the meeting is usually brief and occurs in person or online. Its purpose is to verify the debtor’s financial information and ensure transparency. The debtor must answer relevant questions honestly, and the meeting is an important step toward resolving debts and moving forward with the bankruptcy process.
