secretion pathways

Secretion pathways are the processes cells use to produce and transport molecules like hormones, enzymes, and proteins to their outside or to other parts of the body. These molecules are made inside the cell, packaged into small vesicles (tiny sacs), and then transported through a series of steps. The vesicles move to the cell membrane, fuse with it, and release their contents outside. This system allows cells to communicate, regulate bodily functions, and carry out essential tasks efficiently. Different pathways, like the classical secretory pathway, are specialized for specific types of molecules and are tightly controlled by the cell.
