Seasonal changes

Seasonal changes occur because Earth's axis is tilted relative to its orbit around the Sun. As Earth orbits, different parts of the planet receive varying amounts of sunlight at different times of year. When the Northern Hemisphere tilts toward the Sun, it experiences summer with longer days and warmer weather. Six months later, it tilts away, leading to winter with shorter days and cooler temperatures. The Southern Hemisphere experiences opposite seasons. These shifts in sunlight and temperature cause the familiar cycle of seasons, influencing weather patterns, plant growth, and animal behaviors.
