Sealaska Corporation is one of 13 regional Native corporations established under the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act of 1971. It represents approximately 20,000 Alaska Native shareholders primarily of Tlingit, Haida, and Tsimshian descent from Southeast Alaska. Sealaska manages land, cultural preservation, and economic development initiatives, including natural resource management, forestry, and investments, aimed at supporting its shareholders and community. Its mission emphasizes preserving Native heritage while promoting sustainable economic growth and opportunities for its people and region.
