Seahorses

Seahorses are small marine fish characterized by their horse-like heads, upright swimming posture, and prehensile tails, which they use to grip objects like sea grasses. They belong to the genus Hippocampus and are known for their unique reproductive process: males carry and give birth to the babies. Seahorses live in shallow, tropical, and temperate waters, often among seagrasses and coral reefs. They feed primarily on tiny crustaceans and plankton, using their tube-shaped snouts to suck in prey. Their delicate appearance and interesting behaviors make them valuable indicators of healthy marine environments.
