SEA (Southeast Asian) Americans
Southeast Asian Americans are individuals with heritage from countries in Southeast Asia, such as Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, Myanmar, and Indonesia, who have migrated to or are born in the United States. They often arrived as refugees, immigrants, or descendants of earlier settlers, and may face unique cultural, linguistic, and economic challenges. Despite these hurdles, Southeast Asian Americans contribute significantly to the cultural diversity and economic vitality of the U.S. through their traditions, entrepreneurship, and community engagement. They represent a diverse group with rich histories, often working to preserve their cultural identities while integrating into American society.
