sea horse

A seahorse is a small marine fish characterized by a horse-like head, a curled tail, and a body covered in buesh, bony plates instead of scales. They live in shallow coastal waters and often anchor themselves to seaweed or coral with their prehensile tail. Unique among fish, male seahorses are the ones that carry and give birth to babies, a role called male pregnancy. They feed mainly on tiny crustaceans and have a slow, graceful swimming style. Their distinctive shape and behavior make seahorses a fascinating part of marine ecosystems.
