Sea Anemone
Sea anemones are marine animals related to corals and jellyfish, characterized by their soft, cylindrical bodies topped with a crown of tentacles. These tentacles are equipped with stinging cells called nematocysts, used to capture and immobilize small fish and plankton for food. They attach firmly to rocks or other surfaces on the ocean floor and are usually stationary. Despite their plant-like appearance, sea anemones are animals, and they have a simple, radial body plan. Many species form symbiotic relationships with other marine organisms, such as clownfish, which find shelter among their tentacles and benefit from their protection.
