Scripps National Spelling Bee
The Scripps National Spelling Bee is an annual competition in the United States where students from around the country compete to correctly spell challenging words. Participants, usually elementary and middle school students, are given words to spell aloud and must demonstrate their knowledge of spelling, pronunciation, and sometimes the words’ origins. The competition tests vocabulary, memory, and language skills. It culminates in a final round where the best spellers face off until a champion is crowned. The event promotes educational excellence, vocabulary development, and a love of language.
