Screenwriters Guild

The Screenwriters Guild, formally known as the Writers Guild of America (WGA), is a labor union representing professional writers in the film, television, and digital media industries. It advocates for writers’ rights, fair pay, and good working conditions. The guild also negotiates contracts, sets industry standards, and provides resources and support for its members. Essentially, it ensures that screenwriters are fairly compensated and have a collective voice in working conditions, much like other professional unions protect their members’ interests across different industries.
