Scramjet Engine
A scramjet (supersonic combustion ramjet) is an advanced jet engine designed for high-speed flight, typically at hypersonic speeds (Mach 5+). Unlike traditional engines, it doesn't have moving parts like turbines. Instead, it intakes air at such high speeds that it compresses naturally, then mixes it with onboard fuel and ignites it for propulsion. The combustion occurs while air still moves faster than sound, enabling efficient operation at extreme velocities. Scramjets are promising for rapid space travel or defense applications, but they require very high initial speeds to operate effectively.
