Scrambler

A scrambler is a device or algorithm used in communication systems to alter a data signal in a way that makes it appear random. Its main purpose is to prevent long sequences of identical bits, which can cause synchronization issues or reduce transmission quality. Scramblers do not encrypt data but modify its pattern to improve signal integrity and efficiency. At the receiver's end, a corresponding descrambler restores the original data. This technique enhances the reliability and performance of data transmission across various media, such as fiber optics, radio, and digital networks.
