Scottish Golf Union
The Scottish Golf Union (SGU) was the national governing body responsible for promoting, developing, and regulating golf in Scotland. It oversaw the organization of amateur competitions, managed player development programs, and set rules and standards for the sport within the country. The SGU played a key role in fostering talent and ensuring the integrity of the game. In 2015, it merged with the Scottish Ladies Golfing Association to form Golf Scotland, which now oversees golf governance and development across Scotland, continuing the SGU’s legacy of supporting Scottish golf at all levels.
