Scoring in Wrestling
In wrestling, scoring determines how points are awarded during a match based on the techniques and maneuvers performed. Wrestlers earn points for actions like taking their opponent down to the mat, escaping from a hold, or reversing a position. Points vary: for example, a takedown typically scores two points, while a reversal scores two as well. The wrestler with the most points at the end of the match wins. If a wrestler is significantly dominant, they may win by technical fall, which ends the match early when they have a set lead, usually 15 points.
