Scope Baseline Development
Scope Baseline Development is a process used in project management to define and control the work required for a project. It consists of three key components: the project scope statement, which outlines the project’s goals and deliverables; the work breakdown structure (WBS), which breaks the project into smaller, manageable parts; and the scope management plan, which describes how changes to the project scope will be handled. Establishing a clear scope baseline helps ensure that all stakeholders have a shared understanding of what the project entails and reduces the risk of scope creep, where additional tasks or changes are added without proper approval.
