Schwenkfelders

The Schwenkfelders are followers of Caspar Schwenkfeld, a 16th-century reformer who sought to interpret Christian faith differently from mainstream Protestant groups. They emphasize personal Bible study, inner spiritual reflection, and nonviolence. Originating in Germany, many migrated to America in the 18th century to practice their beliefs freely. Today, they are a small religious community that values peace, simplicity, and a direct relationship with God, maintaining traditions distinct from other Christian denominations.
