Schopenhauerian philosophy
Schopenhauer's philosophy centers on his idea that the fundamental reality is a blind, endless "Will"—an irrational force driving all existence. This Will manifests in everything, including human desires and actions, which are insatiable and lead to suffering. He believed that our individual choices are expressions of this universal Will, causing endless struggle. To find relief, one must transcend desires through aesthetic contemplation, compassion, or renunciation, diminishing the suffering caused by the cycle of desire. Ultimately, Schopenhauer sees life as characterized by relentless striving, with true peace found in detachment from the incessant demands of the Will.
