Scarecrow

A scarecrow is a life-sized figure traditionally made from straw, clothing, and other materials, positioned in fields to deter birds from eating crops. Its movement and human-like appearance trick birds into thinking a person is nearby, encouraging them to stay away. Modern scarecrows can be stationary or sometimes use motion activation or sound devices to enhance their effectiveness. They serve as a humane, eco-friendly method for protecting harvests without the use of chemicals or lethal methods. While primarily used in agriculture, scarecrows can also function as decorative or artistic installations.
