SBAG (Scientific Board)

SBAG, or the Science Board for the Athena Science Payload, is a group of scientists and experts who advise and oversee the scientific objectives and activities related to a space mission’s instruments or experiments. Their role includes reviewing research plans, ensuring data quality, and guiding scientific priorities to maximize the mission’s discoveries. Essentially, SBAG helps ensure that the mission’s scientific goals are being met efficiently and effectively, providing expert oversight and recommendations to researchers and project teams.
