Savoyard language
Savoyard language is a regional dialect spoken in the Savoy region, which spans parts of southeastern France and northwestern Italy. It belongs to the Franco-Provençal (Arpitan) linguistic family, sharing features with neighboring Romance languages. Savoyard incorporates unique vocabulary, pronunciation, and grammatical structures that distinguish it from standard French or Italian. Historically, it served as a local means of communication among communities and reflects the area's cultural identity. While less commonly spoken today, efforts are underway to preserve and promote Savoyard as part of regional heritage.
