Savoy Palace
The Savoy Palace was a grand medieval residence in London, built in the late 13th century by Peter I of Savoy. It served as a symbol of wealth and power for its owners and was notable for its impressive architecture and extensive grounds. The palace played an important role in London’s history, hosting important events and notable figures. It was eventually destroyed in 1361 during political upheaval, and its site later became part of the foundations for the more famous Savoy Hotel. Today, the original palace no longer exists, but its historical significance remains.
