sauropod
Sauropods were a group of large, long-necked dinosaurs that lived during the Mesozoic Era. They are known for their enormous size, including some of the biggest animals to have ever walked the Earth, with long necks and tails, and four sturdy legs. Sauropods were herbivores, feeding on plants high in trees that other animals couldn’t reach. Examples include Brachiosaurus and Diplodocus. Their distinctive body structure helped them access food sources and avoid predators, and they played a major role in their ecosystems during the age of dinosaurs.
