Saudi state formation
Saudi state formation was a gradual process beginning in the 18th century with alliances between local tribes and religious leaders, centered around the belief in restoring Islamic traditions. Under the leadership of Muhammad ibn Saud and later Ibn Saud, the founder of modern Saudi Arabia, these alliances expanded through military conquest and strategic diplomacy. By 1932, Ibn Saud unified various tribes and regions into a single nation, establishing the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The process involved consolidating tribal loyalties, leveraging religious authority, and managing territorial expansion to create a centralized, sovereign state in the Arabian Peninsula.
