Satellite Payloads
Satellite payloads are the equipment and instruments carried inside a satellite designed to perform specific tasks. These can include sensors, cameras, communication transponders, or scientific instruments. Essentially, the payload is what the satellite is intended to do—whether capturing images, relaying signals, or collecting data. It is separate from the satellite's spacecraft bus, which provides power, navigation, and support systems. Payloads enable satellites to serve various functions like television broadcasting, weather monitoring, GPS navigation, or scientific research, making them essential to fulfilling the satellite's mission objectives.
