Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan
The Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) is an Indian government initiative launched in 2001 aimed at providing quality elementary education to all children aged 6 to 14. Its goal is to ensure inclusive, equitable, and free education, reducing dropout rates and improving infrastructure, teacher training, and learning materials. SSA fosters universal access to education, promoting literacy and skill development, especially among marginalized groups. By strengthening the foundation of basic education, it seeks to enable children to acquire essential knowledge and skills necessary for personal growth and national development.
