Sardarapat Battle

The Battle of Sardarapat took place in 1918 during World War I, near the town of Sardarapat in present-day Armenia. Armenian forces faced a large Ottoman army aiming to conquer their homeland. Despite being outnumbered, the Armenians launched a determined defense that halted the Ottoman advance.
