Sarah Winnemucca
Sarah Winnemucca was a Native American leader, educator, and advocate from the Paiute tribe in the 19th century. She worked tirelessly to promote her people's rights, fair treatment, and understanding between Native Americans and settlers. Fluent in both Paiute and English, she traveled extensively to speak out against injustices, explain her people's culture, and seek better treatment.
