Sanuki was a historic province located on the island of Shikoku in Japan, now largely part of Kagawa Prefecture. Sanuki played a significant role in regional trade and agriculture during feudal Japan. Today, the name persists culturally, especially through Sanuki udon, reflecting the area's culinary tradition.
