Sanqing

Sanqing, meaning "Three Pure Ones," is a central concept in Taoism representing the three highest deities: Yuanshi (The Celestial One), Lingbao (The Spiritual Treasure), and Daode (The Great Principle). They embody different aspects of the Tao—the fundamental principle that underlies everything in the universe. Together, they symbolize the harmony, purity, and moral virtues essential to Taoist philosophy and practice. Sanqing is often depicted in Chinese art and temples, emphasizing their importance in spiritual cultivation and the Taoist understanding of the cosmos.
