Sankara
Sankara, also known as Sankara Bhagavatpada, was a renowned 8th-century Indian philosopher and theologian who revitalized Hinduism through his teachings of Advaita Vedanta. He emphasized that there is no fundamental difference between the individual soul (Atman) and the ultimate reality (Brahman), advocating for spiritual knowledge and inner realization as paths to liberation. Sankara traveled extensively, wrote philosophical treaties, and established monastic centers to promote his teachings. His ideas have had a lasting influence on Indian philosophy and continue to inspire discussions on spirituality, consciousness, and the nature of reality.
