Sangama Dynasty
The Sangama Dynasty was the first ruling family of the Vijayanagara Empire, established in southern India in the 14th century. It was founded by brothers Harihara I and Bukka Raya I, who unified various South Indian kingdoms to resist invasions and promote stability. The dynasty marked the beginning of a powerful empire known for its military strength, flourishing arts, architecture, and trade. Their rule lasted from around 1336 to 1485, laying the foundation for Vijayanagara's prominence as a major political and cultural hub in medieval India.
