Sanacja
Sanacja was a political movement in Poland during the 1920s and 1930s that aimed to restore stability and order after a period of political chaos and multiple governments. Led mainly by Józef Piłsudski, it emphasized strong centralized authority, national unity, and modern reforms. While it helped modernize Poland’s institutions and improve infrastructure, it also repressed political opposition and limited democratic freedoms. Essentially, Sanacja sought to stabilize the country through authoritative governance, balancing reform with control, and leaving a lasting impact on Poland’s political landscape prior to World War II.
