San Bernardino Attack
The San Bernardino Attack occurred on December 2, 2015, when a married couple, Syed Rizwan Farook and Tashfeen Malik, ambushed a holiday party at a government health agency in San Bernardino, California. They opened fire, killing 14 people and injuring 22 others before being killed in a shootout with police. The attackers were later found to have been inspired by extremist ideology and had planned the attack for months. The incident was considered one of the deadliest terrorist acts on U.S. soil in recent years and raised concerns about domestic terrorism and hate crimes.
