Samudra Manthan
Samudra Manthan, meaning "churning of the ocean," is a mythological event in Hindu tradition where gods (Devas) and demons (Asuras) collaborate to retrieve nectar (Amrit) from the ocean of milk. They used Mount Mandara as a churning stick and the serpent Vasuki as a rope to rotate the mountain, creating a powerful churn that stirred the ocean. This process produced divine treasures, beings like Goddess Lakshmi, and the nectar of immortality, symbolizing the balance of good and evil, and highlighting the importance of cooperation and perseverance to achieve divine rewards.
