Samba de Roda
Samba de Roda is a traditional Brazilian musical and dance form originating from the northeastern state of Bahia. It combines rhythmic singing, lively dancing, percussion instruments like drums and clapping, and call-and-response vocals. Typically performed in a circle, it reflects Afro-Brazilian cultural heritage, blending African rhythms with Portuguese influences. Samba de Roda is often practiced during community celebrations, preserving historical customs and fostering social connection. Recognized as an important part of Brazil's cultural identity, it was designated as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO in 2005.
