Salt production methods

Salt production mainly occurs through two methods. Solar evaporation involves collecting seawater or saltwater from lakes, then allowing the sun and wind to evaporate the water, leaving salt crystals behind. This method is common in warm, sunny regions. The other method, mining, extracts salt from underground deposits formed by ancient seas, either through traditional digging or using machines to crush rock salt deposits. These methods produce either refined, edible salt or industrial-grade salt for various uses. Both approaches harness natural processes or geological resources to supply the salt we use daily.
