salt mining techniques

Salt mining involves extracting salt from underground deposits or salt lakes. There are two main methods: traditional underground mining, where tunnels are drilled into salt beds and the salt is removed with machinery; and solution mining, where water is injected into salt deposits to dissolve the salt, forming brine that is then pumped to the surface and evaporated to recover the salt. When salt is near the surface, it can also be harvested through evaporation of saltwater in salt pans or large evaporation ponds. These methods ensure efficient and large-scale salt production for various industrial and consumer uses.
