Salat
Salat is the Islamic ritual of prayer performed five times daily, serving as a direct link between the individual and God. It involves specific sequences of physical movements—including standing, bowing, prostrating, and sitting—accompanying recitations from the Quran. These prayers are done at appointed times to foster spiritual discipline, mindfulness, and connection with God. Salat also emphasizes humility and unity among Muslims worldwide, as millions perform the same acts simultaneously. It is considered one of the Five Pillars of Islam, fundamental to a Muslim’s faith and practice.
