Sainthood Process
The sainthood process is a formal church procedure to recognize someone as a saint. It involves several steps: first, a candidate’s life is carefully examined for virtuous conduct and miracles attributed to them. They are called "Servant of God" during initial reviews. If evidence is strong, they become "Venerable." Then, miracles attributed to their intercession are verified, leading to beatification—when they’re called "Blessed." A final miracle after beatification can lead to canonization, declaring them a saint. This process can take many years and ensures the person’s life and impact are worthy of veneration.
