Saint Srimanta Sankardev

Saint Srimanta Sankardev (1449–1568) was a revered spiritual leader, poet, and reformer from Assam, India. He dedicated his life to promoting a collective Hindu practice called Ekasarana Dharma, emphasizing devotion to Lord Krishna. Sankardev authored many devotional songs, plays, and scriptures that aimed to foster social harmony and spiritual awakening. He challenged social inequalities, encouraging people of all castes and backgrounds to unite through faith.
