Saint-Simonian Society
The Saint-Simonian Society was a 19th-century social movement founded by Claude Henri de Rouvroy, comte de Saint-Simon. It aimed to promote a new social order based on cooperation, scientific advancement, and the leadership of skilled specialists and industrialists, rather than traditional aristocracy or political elites. Members believed that society should be reorganized to improve human welfare through meritocracy and technological progress. The movement influenced early socialist ideas and emphasized the importance of innovation, social planning, and shared knowledge to create a more equitable and productive society.
