Saint Mark the Evangelist

Saint Mark the Evangelist is traditionally regarded as the author of the Gospel of Mark in the New Testament. He was a companion of the Apostle Peter and is believed to have written his gospel based on Peter’s teachings and eyewitness accounts. Mark is considered one of the four canonical gospel writers and is often associated with spreading Christianity in Rome. He is also recognized as the founder of the Church of Alexandria in Egypt. His feast day is celebrated on April 25. Mark's writings emphasize Jesus’ actions, miracles, and suffering, presenting a vivid and succinct portrayal of Christ's life.
