Saint Lawrence

Saint Lawrence was a Christian martyr and deacon in the early Roman Church, known for his humility and service. He is most famous for distributing church treasures to the poor and suffering persecution under Emperor Valerian. According to tradition, he was executed in Rome around 258 AD, famously dying by a method that involved being scorched on a gridiron. Saint Lawrence is regarded as a protector of the poor and a symbol of steadfast faith, with his legacy celebrated in various Christian traditions and the famous "Feast of Saint Lawrence" on August 10th.
